Assignment Two

Colour

The Power of colours

According to: http://www.hgtv.com/decorating/how-colors-affect-feelings/index.html

Light is absorbed by the eye and converted into another form of energy, which enables us to see color. This energy affects and is felt even by people without sight. Light energy stimulates the pituitary and pineal glands, which regulate hormones and other physiological systems in the body.

Warm colors such as red, orange and yellow may trigger the feeling of romance to anger and cold colors such as blue , purple and green may trigger calmness to sadness.

Assignment

For the second Assignment we were asked to prepare a series of photographs upon a combination of a chosen colour swatch.

The colour swatch given to me are colours consider as earth colours.

I indented to capture both colours of nature but also how colours are used by people.

According to http://www.color-wheel-pro.com/color-meaning.html
Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.
It has very high visibility, so you can use it to catch attention and highlight the most important elements of your design. Orange is very effective for promoting food products and toys.

Moreover, according to http://www.beading-design-jewelry.com/meaning-of-beige.html

Beige represents quiet, pleasantness with a touch of luster.
As a neutral, beige is a calming color. It carries some of the same pureness, softness, and cleanliness of white but is slightly richer, a touch warmer.
